    SMPS for charger Car battery

hi i have question, can we remove Output capacitor (decoupling) in SMPS circuits, so we can get pulses while charging?

You might be able to that but I would leave in C13
    9 PC LCD Monitor
    6 LCD Flat Screen TV
30 Desk Top Switching Power Supply
10 Battery Charger Switching Power Supply for Power Tool
6 18v Lithium Battery Power Boards for Tool Battery Packs
1 XBox 360 Switching Power Supply and M Board
    25 Servo Drives 220/460 3 Phase
6 De-soldering Station Switching Power Supply 1 Power Supply
    1 Dell Mother Board
    15 Computer Power Supply
1 HP Printer Supply & Control Board * lighting finished it *

These two repairs where found with a ESR meter...> Temp at 50*F then at 90*F the ESR reading more than 10%

1 Over Head Crane Current Sensing Board ( VFD Failure Five Years Later )
2 Hem Saw Computer Stack Board

All of these had CAPs POOF
All of the mosfet that are taken out by bad caps

It will mess up the feedback signal feeding IC1 PIN 15. the steady DC output is also fed to the short circuit protection in Q6 section, and also feeds other circuits as well.

Why would you want to pulse charge in 50K ~ 100KHz?

agreed, feedback will be ruined and could go overvoltage and overcharge battery.

He wants to "improve" his battery charger into a desulfator...

Can we add Inductor and Decoupling Cap at Feed back path?(filter only at feedback path)

Look at the circuit, you can see the DC output V+ and V- are fed to other circuits as well, not juts the feedback circuit only.
I also do not know if pulse charging at 50 ~ 100KHz will have any effect on de-sulfating or not. Do you know? Need to do more research.
You can try building some thing like this:
              https://www.electronics-lab.com/proj...cid-batteries/

              https://www.homemade-circuits.com/ba...uit-explained/

You can build this add on circuit which may be the best way to go without messing with the charger

Notes:I did not look at the schematic to see if they are correct or not but at least it gives you the idea on how to pulse charge the batteries.

thank you BUDM for your response. I will stick with original SMPS
