    MSI RS480M (7145 v2.1)...help

Alright, I've got an MSI mobo mentioned in the title. It was pulled from an e-machine, model W3410. The previous owner did not take care of this computer. There was so much dust in the case that I could have planted a tree in it. Here is the motherboard in case anyone is interested.

I also attached a pic of some of the blown caps.

Blown Rubycons. What!?!? Rubycon's? Yeah, I'm guessing the age of the caps and the heat from the CPU was just too much for them.

    I need help finding replacements

    Rubycon
    MCZ
    T0521
    6.3v 1800uf
    105ÂșC
diameter 8 mm, height 20 mm

I always forget to check the store here first. Will these Nichcons do the trick?

    Yes, those will work.
These would be even better: https://www.badcaps.net/store/produc...roducts_id=146

Replace the ones on the left also... but those are probably rated for 16v ... the ones near the 4 pin cpu connector.

I know I see some non-bloated KZJs over there... You better change those too. I think have this board sitting around here somewhere...
"We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

I'd replace the busted ones with these - https://www.badcaps.net/store/produc...products_id=77. They are in between the MOSFTES, chokes and CPU - some of the hottest parts on the board

use https://www.badcaps.net/store/produc...roducts_id=173 for the other four on the left.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

Thanks guys. And yeah, I was gonna just replace them all but I had trouble finding replacements for the Rubycons...And boy are Rubycons tough. Just look at how bad those caps are, and guess what? The PC would still boot up 1 out of every 3 times. haha
