I was given a machine by a friend that is used to run a CNC machine, and they said it suddenly just stopped turning on one day. I took the board out of the case and immediately noticed a few things.
First, one of the SATA ports is ripped off (there's soldered pins on the bottom)
Second, there's a capacitor missing. What is it's values?
Third, the board is kind screwed up in the bottom right corner
And last was that the entire board was slightly warped.
When power is applied to the board, quite literally nothing happens. Not even a fan twitch. It's as if I'm not even trying to turn it on. Any suggestions?
I've tested with a known good power supply, and replaced the CMOS battery, to no avail. Nothing gets hot, and there's no visibly bad components.
The power supply in the machine (250 watt hipro) was perfectly fine. Tested with another board.
RAM works. Unsure about the Sempron CPU
I'm at a loss. It needs to be this board because the machine interface uses the CNR slot.
