an update for who can be interested in,

I had similar On/Off problem, and as seen on polish forum, I ffixed the problem by:

    1. Resoldering of all 8 Pin Smd component on the mainboard.
    2. Resoldering of the main processor ( Novatek )
    3. Replacing of the 470uf 35V Capacitor on the power board.

    Good luck,

      Thanks for that update.
      I have te same problem.

How did you proceed to resolder the main processor (Novatek) ?
How are you equiped ? (not a basic soldering iron, I suppose...)

      Thanks in advance.

        Hi Satbel,

        thanks for the update.

I still have this monitor stored away, but now determined to repair it. I installed a heatsink on the Novatek processor as described in the polish forum, but it didn't help much (still 2 x switched off in 2 days).

I don't have good measuring equipment, so I will replace the two 680uF 10V Lelon capacitors + the 470uF 35V capacitor with low ESR ones.

I was wondering how you did the reflow? There are so many DIY manuals out there (heat gun, oven, etc), and it's not clear to me what really works, and at what temperature I should try to reflow, how long, etc. I have an oven, and would have access to a heat gun. If you can write me your procedure, I could just follow it.

        thanks in advance
