    Samsung un60eh6050 back-light working, but no picture or sound

    I have a Samsung un60eh6050 that the back-lighting comes on, but it has no picture and no sound. I was going to see if someone could point me in the right direction.

    Here are the voltages out of the power supply with everything still hooked up:
    1: B13V...12.78
    2: PWM_DIM...3.07
    3: B13V...12.78
    4: B13V...12.78
    5: Vamp...12.78
    6: BLU_ON/OFF...5.98
    7: Vamp...12.8
    8: GND...0
    9: GND...0
    10: GND...0
    11: B5V...5.4
    12: A5V...5.4
    13: B5V...5.4
    14: POWER ON/OFF...3.6

    Also I tested the T-Con board fuse and it had 12V on both sides.

    If there is anything else I need to test that may help please let me know.

    Timing control boards on these are known to fail in this mode. Search this site with your T-CON board number and see if you get a hit.
    They call me......."threadkiller"

      check the LVDS on the main board with an oscilloscope, while turning the menu on and off all the time. Other than that, test all these little buck converters on the Tcon board. If you want to throw parts at it, change the Tcon first, as it is much cheaper to replace than a main board, plus the Tcon is known to fail.

        Must be a high demand for the tcon, shopjimmy wants twice as much for the tcon than the mainboard.

          I'm curious what components normally fail on t-con boards.

            I believe for this t-con, it's the ISL9860 chip. But that's for a TV with sound and no video. However, since you're also getting no sound, I would think it's something beyond the t-con.
