DFI PS83-BL - bad 470uF/6.3V OST easy to fix

Today, I successfully replaced five bulging OST 470uF/6.3V capacitors on a DFI PS83-BL for a client with solid units pulled from a defective motherboard (which did not a capacitor problem). The OST units had bulging tops, and since there were no perforations on the top, the bung was pushed out of them.

They were easier to replace compared to the ones for filtering the CPU voltage .
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

same board i have been getting with the itox brand.
replace the vrm inputs and outputs too.
they will be kzg or hm.and they will die next.
the vrm input section runs hot.
so much for itox and their "industrial" boards!

What did you replace them with?? Hopefully not Chemi-con KZG
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

        Hello,
I'm Trying to replace a bad capacitor on this board but can't figure out what to replace it with, it's the one just to the right of the south chip. It's easy enough to get to to work on, I just don't know the specs for it? Do have that info, or knowledge of a resource that may contain it?
        Thanks

Assuming its a 470uF, 16V (like in the original post), then https://www.badcaps.net/store/produc...roducts_id=148 should do. Replace them all, not just the obviously bad one
