    alienware 15 r3 (La-D751p)

    Hello people i got this alienware 15 r3 (La-D751p)

It has some weird issues wich i think is bios related.

usb ports on either sides dont work, the only usb that works is the 3.1 on the back ( next to charger ) i use a converter to be able to use the normal usb 3.0
if i wanne update my bios with f12 and ez flash i can select the file and pres Flash upgrade. But then nothing happens. no progress it just stands stil from 0%

I most also note that the lights on the side and the mousepad light dont work at all!
Also if i pres in windows shutdown the computer doesnt shutdown ( keyboard light stays on )
I hope anyone can tel me where to look for the problem!

for the rest everything works fine, windows runs can do anything without problems.

Thanks for taking ur time to read this !

    Daniel

Ive tried flashing the bios with a programmer from this forum, same issues still persist.

There is no visual damage on the mainbord and subboard. Ive checked different forums and this model seem to have this problem alot. But no where is a solution to be found.
    It is definatly hardware related.

Take same measurements on UU3 with the board powered up. Also post your bios backup in the bios requests forum for fixing

There is many bios chips on this board it seems. UE2, UT2, UH4. And 2 more next to the gpu, UG13, UG15 . Im not sure if PU1300 is also one. I believe i shud flash UH4 correct ?

                  foto with al bios chips:

                  i took backup of UH4

shud the EC also be updated ? im not sure wich chip is that.

Can you check those voltages again ,i think pin 3 should be 3.3V and pin 1 5V

Do you want me to dump all the bios IC?

Hi Guys, I saw the forum here and I needed your help. My screen is dull (but it emits a very dark image). The part that controls the LCD Blacklight burned out. Could you send a photo or the name of the component. pls <3

How did it burn out ? Do you have a picture of the damaged part ?

Any silk screen (white text) markings on the circuit board ?

Post any pics of the backlight part that may be damaged.
