Samsung have a 5 year warranty on these sets. How old is this one?

A 5 year warranty on a Samsung? Let's see that in print. Maybe if you buy the extended warranty but I've never seen a Samsung Tv with over a one year warranty except stores and credit cards offering a extended one year.

                Re: Backlight shadows ue75mu8000

It was a John Lewis website I saw that was offering the 5 year warranty and not samsung as I thought, sorry. However lots of large retailers in the UK sell their sets with 5 year warranty so I would consider where it was purchased from and see if there was an extended warranty with the set.
My Panasonic set has 6 year warranty through the large retail store I bought from which was included in the purchase price.

Ahh poop I might try a suction cup and pull the screen slightly see if it pulls the back light in place

I think it's the way the back lights are set up on these teles but not a easy fix without taking the glass out

this model here in germany known with this fault.. either samsung customer servivce knowing it and cant be solved via software.. the issue visible when you had many time HDR media content playing on it, try hard reset from service menu. if it solved avoid HDR to play

I have seen similar problem , the main question is , has this TV ever been taken apart? Looks like someone mistaken the order of disperser papers inside... or maybe the leds are running too bright

Dont think they are running too bright as there are dark spots and sometimes the pic is dark
