    UPS not holding on battery

    I purchased a Elnova X500 UPS long back for use with Desktop. Used it many years, later since the power supply improved I stopped using it.

    Now when I wanted to use it again I replaced the battery and kept it for charging for 4-5 hours. The UPS is starting ok but as soon as the mains supply goes off it is not giving the output on battery and switching off immediately. Please tell me what is the problem?

    Did you test the battery Voltage under loaded condition?

      Chances are battery pack is bad now and you'll need to replace it. UPS batteries are perishable...
