    LG Display 23" LM230WF5 TL F4 30 pins

Has full screen of crazy colors of purple green blue horizontally, mostly with some White lines vertically, at power on of an All in one Dell 2330. I have removed the LCD and replaced boards inside without any joy. Externally attached VGA screen works perfectly.

You know the LCD backside always has something covered stating Do Not Touch, but I peeled it open anyway, revealing a T-con? My question is if that board can be repaired?

Is the green board the T-con?

That panel has the t-con integrated to the panel, It can't be replaced (without special equipment to rebond the tabs)
It might be repairable, sometimes there are shorted mlcc caps but if you are getting lines it could be one of the ic's bad, Or is the panel cracked?

The video display looked like this before I took it apart..... https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wdw...w?usp=drivesdk No cracks in the panel. So I stripped it down, cleaned a little and then starting TOUCHING IT while it was online, you know, like they said not to...lol, and you will laugh too when I tell you I felt around on it and found the hottest components, the wrapped a piece of ice in a paper towel ( I don't have compressed air can), and cooled the SM4041 first, then hit those little brown capacitors to the right of the 4041, and it came back to working correctly......if only for it's power cycle. Same thing worked on the next boot so the physical panel and back lights are good.....I don't know what that SM4041 is but I have ZERO confidence in reflowing a new one. Got any ideas? I put some heat sink putty under those caps and may have helped a little.....for a little. see new pics. Are those test points in the last pic the voltage check points?

Really, how easy are mlcc caps damaged? If easily damaged as described in the article above, then I'M toast.

Need opinions. I replaced the SM 4041 and that fixed the purple and green blizzard effect at power on, and now the backlight is on as normal, but it's stuck in the monitor menu, cycling without any response from those three buttons. Any ideas? See video at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cns...w?usp=drivesdk
