    Acer AL1916W A LCD Monitor

I have a monitor that has exactly the same source and the same control card, as your Westinghouse 19" LCD Monitor , but mine does not turned on, I check the voltage of the source 13.8v and 5v are ok. what can I do.

I have found sometime a bad capacitor can keep a monitor from turning on at all.

You get no light at all from the power switch?

What brand of capacitors does it have?

I know it's the same board as that westinghouse but can you also take pictures of yours?

Measurement of voltages as shown in the photo are fine.
with respect to the LEDs, turn on very little,
only when you remove the power cord 5 seconds pass and shine more and turn off.

What is the uf and voltage of each.

I'm not pro but I will try to get enough information from you about your LCD so the pro's will have what they need to work with. Jacob

I would wait for conformation before proceeding. But,,, If I owned that monitor I would replace all 220uf, 470uf, and 1000uf Capacitors on the power board. 8 out of 10 monitors I see with those symptoms are repaired with cap replacement.

                    What year was it manufactured?

That would be my recommendation also. The 'unplugged for 5 seconds definitely represents a power supply problem. While bulging is a definite sign a cap is bad, most manufacturers now know how to build them well enough to fail without any obvious signs.

Do you know what to buy? I mean, do you have the part numbers for the appropiate replacements?
