Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. SM-T311 Bad Capacitor

    Greetings all.

I would really appreciate some information about the following capacitor which seems to be fried. Hopefully, replacing it will solve the problem.

    The capacitor says Λ 157j 43721

    I guess this is a tantalum capacitor, 150uf, 6.3V ?
Does the 43721 indicate something important?
Is it important to find out the ESR?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

somethings not right in that pic.
i'v never seen a cap burned like that.
i'm more inclined to think it got damaged by the chip next to it or even someone trying to resolder the chip.

That was my initial thought also.
But everything around it looks in perfect condition

When giving power, this capacitor only gets really hot. REALLY hot.

So, is it possible for someone to confirm my assumption about the specs of this capacitor?

remove it, then meter the voltage across the pads.

Slice it off using a sharp blade. Power it on. Likely to work. But do put a replacement in before calling it done.

                seen this before.
a junk power supply that overshoots is the cause.
