    The failure of the early boards produced the issue you are seeing
    Hrm... most people suggest changing out the main board. I'll try to do the tests suggested but I'm not the most handy person.

      Got my main board back from this guy from Ebay and the TV fired right up! Let's hope I can get a few more years out of this bad boy. Thanks for the help.

        Possibly planned obsolescence. I can imagine samsung incorperating a self destruct to the nand . i can reccomend not updating .
