Sorry if its in the wrong section, didnt want to put it in the tv video troubleshooting section as there is nothing wrong with it.
I have a tv/dvd/usb combi.
Trouble is i cant watch a dvd or access the usb without the original remote.
I have a cheapo universal remote and also a one for all urc9040 remote, I can get them both to control the tv but none will let me press play on the dvd or select usb?
I can scroll inputs, i can put a dvd in and get the dvd to come onto the menu screen but i just cannot select "Play" or "Play all".
Will the built in dvd use a different code to the tv?
There is only 2 buttons on the side of the tv near the dvd slot which are PLAY/PAUSE and STOP/EJECT. The play button brings up a symbol which looks like a no entry sign, so i guess i need to press the ok button on the remote instead to get it to play? But the 2 remotes i have tried dont do anything to the dvd section?
Who make the dvd player in these alba combos?
