I am a bit surprised with HT Receivers in this day and age

I just discovered today that both of my HT Receivers are Dolby Digital and have DTS Digital Surround. One is a Yamaha RX-V363 which I only paid about $220.00 at bestbuy in 2008 which was 4 years ago. My other HT Receiver is the much more exspensive Kenwood VR-309 at an MSRP of $400.00 in the year 1999. I bought this one used.

I perfer the sound of my Kenwood over the Entry Level RX-V363.
