Klipsch RW-10 LED is not turning on

I have just repaired this sub. The inrush current limiter had a hole in it, and the the two IRF740 MOSFETs were shorted, so the fuse it was blowing.
After replacing these components, the sub is working, but the LED is only blinks once, when I turn it on.
It should stay Red in standby, or Green when it is on. It has the Auto feature.
    What should I look for?
I have the SM for it. On page #5 explains it, how it works.
    Any help, would be appreciated.

Re: Klipsch R-10W LED is not turning on

Which LED that blinks once, Red or the Green.
Does connector J5 go to the LED indicator? It should be connected to Bi-Polar LED. Check the DC on that J5, you see the Voltage polarity changes when the Sun goes from STBY to ON and from ON to STBY.
Does the unit go into standby after 15 minutes when no signal is present?
U5A output of the sensing circuit must be working if the sub is working.

Re: Klipsch R-10W LED is not turning on

      There is only one LED.
When I flip the power button, it blinks once red and that's it. Doesn't tun on anymore, even though the sub makes sound.
That is the thing, how would I know, if it goes into standby, if the LED is off?
      I will measure that J5.

It is two (red/green) LED in one, thus Bi-Color LED.
        Example for 2-lead Bi-color.

Re: Klipsch R-10W LED is not turning on

I have corrected the model number within 30 minutes, why it is still showing the wrong model number? It is a RW-10.
I'm not sure, if this SM it is exactly as my unit, because I can't find a J5 connector. There is one H5 connector, for the LED and I measure 1.28V, as soon as I flip the power button. I'm waiting now to see what happens after 15 minutes.
Once, I have switched over from ON to AUTO and the LED has staid on. But, I could not repeat that again.

I'm guessing, that 1.28V, is not enough to turn on that LED, right?

Just pull the LED connector out and check the LED in diode mode in both directions.

It is very hard to diagnose this thing, because the silkscreen is under the part.

I was about to do that, and the LED turned on Red. The 15 minutes has just passed.

One way it shows 0.6V and the other way, 0.8V. Does not turn on, while measuring.

When the LED it was Red, it was showing 1.7V.
Maybe the Green LED is bad, that is why is not turning on?
I have measured the voltage, at that connector, with the LED disconnected and there is 14.3V(!).

I am confused, you are indicating 0.6V one way and 0.8V another way on the LED, now you are saying 1.7V on red and it lights up and ???? So nothing when you reverse the meter leads?
14.3 (+) or (-)? When it is plus with ref to GND then the RED LED should be on, when it is (-) with ref to GND then the Green LED should be on.
The LED has 1K resistor connected between the output of the OP and and the LED to limit the LED current.
                          + 14.3V - 1.7Vf of RED LED = 12.6V/1000 Ohms = 12.6mA of current flowing through the LED.
Bottom line: when output of the OP amp swings (+) 14V the RED LED will be ON and the amplifier will be OFF (muted input) , the Green LED will be OFF.
When the output swings (-) 14V the GREEN LED will be on and the amplifier will be ON, the RED LED will be off.

Without the led in place there will be no current so no voltage drop across r178, so you will measure full supply plus or minus 14 volts

When the red is on(stby), from ground to the LED, is 1.7V. When green should be on, it's -1.27V from the ground.

"One way it shows 0.6V and the other way, 0.8V. Does not turn on, while measuring." Based on your meter, you have bad LED.

How it should show, when I measure one of these? It's a first for me.
I couldn't find any video on Youtube, either.
