    bios extracted from the HP site update, use the HxD program and find out the BID of your bios and use the respective bios sent ... if you fail, post the original bios.

        i'll try and find out the BID after work. but i have attached the bios.

            Wrong chip, its only 128KB ,its the realtek USB 3 firmware

                  flashed the bios, then screen came on showing something about dmi pool, then showed something about maintainance or config mode (bottom of screen there was a message about press a key to enter startup) and then it loaded to no boot device / PXE screen.

                  i only had the screen connected. no drives or keyboard. it turned of and samething as before is happening black screen.

                  i've tried reflashing the bios again and nothing.

                    Flash the 0227A bios from post #2 and attach the hard drive before boot,see what happens .

                      flashed the 0227A and still nothing on screen. also tried the old bios and again 0227A.
