PN64E533 powers up with sound no picture

    Hey guys.

So this one has VS but drops off right after I hear the Samsung chime. This one is not the infinion IC, but C5050 was the issue. I replaced all 5 around the area for good measure.

They were originally ceramic, replaced with 50v 10uf electrolytics.
    Worked like a charm.

Nice work What were the original Ceramic values. And yes you can replace non-polar caps with e-caps.

Thanks guys. Original values were 106

The trick is using it your DVM to locate which side is ground if you want to use polarized lytics. I have used these before in low power applications and found that they are just as reliable.

I used radial caps myself on one of these. Works great! Time to find a buyer$$$$
