IR sensor is baffling me

I have a Sharp 50LB371U smart tv that I'm rebuilding. Everything works except when leaving it off for a while, the Ir sensor does not respond to turn it on. It will come on if I use the manual power button and the remote works as it should. All buttons work and I can use the remote to turn it off. The remote will work if I immediately turn it back on and off, but after 30 min or so. UGH! remote does not turn it on again. Have used 2 new remotes and purchased another main board and power supply. Same results. Any ideas?

Could be the little capacitor/s on your ir board, with 2 board replacements not sure what else it could be, did you try a firmware update?

There are so few components on the IR board that it would be worth touching up all the solder joints.
