LG 60pv450 no picture has sound

Hello,

I have a LG 60 pv450 that has sound but no picture. I looked through all the threads and couldn't find one exactly for me.

Here is what I have done so far:

when the TV is powered up I get the 210 VS and 54 VA on the power supply and at the connector of the Zsus and Ysus boards. All fuses on the Power supply, Zsus and Ysus boards are good. The coils on the Zsus and Ysus boards look good (no cold solder joints).

I tried to get the test pattern and still no picture.

I checked the VSC and -VY and had no to very little voltage (0-3Vdc). I tried it with the buffer boards out with the same result. Also tried the Zsus connector disconnected same result.

How do you check the buffers for shorts with a meter?

I checked the V2B on the Zsus board and got 5 VDC. Same result with the Ysus board disconnected.

I have changed the main board and the Ysus board already.

Any help would be appreciated.

What are your voltage on your Z board on the VZB?

Around 5vdc on the Z2B test point. At the connector I got 201 vdc at the Vs pins, 54vdc at the NC pin (va), 5.1 vdc at M5V pin.

VZB test points are on the upper-left of the board in the second pic in post#6 - to the left of the white parts label. The voltage should be somewhere around 110V.

Also make sure to use both DMM probe on the + and - test points for VSCN, VY, VZB for proper reading.

Thanks for the input guys. The readings I posted are with the DVM on the + and - at test points for VSCN, -VY and VZB.

Is there a light on the control board? Does it flash at all?

I did try to jumper the 2 holes and disconnected the big ribbon cable that went to the main board. No test picture.

I am having the same thing that Bob heve and i still have no Picture and no sound so what can it be????

I have a LG 60PV450-UA is the model number.
I did everything listed as the other members did.
I have sound but not picture.
I have not pattern after shorting the board and removing the ribbon cable.
All the caps appear to be okay.

What could be my issue of why I'm not getting a picture?
