    VH6 and VP6 probs

    Hi,

Ran into some problems after recapping these mobos.

The VH6 had some Jackcons bulging, recapped them with 3x2200uF Nichicons, 10x1500uF brand new Teapos and 12x 1000uF Nichicons, but doesn't make it to POST. Plugging in a debug card shows FF code.

The VP6 was also equipped with bulging Jackcons, had replaced them with 1500uF Sanyos, debug card says C0 code, no POST at all.

    Any idea on these?

    TIA,

Try completely discharging the CMOS. Especially on the VP6. Close the clear CMOS jumper and remove the battery and let it sit for about a half an hour. That has cured quite a few non-posting VP6's in the past for me.

    Good Luck!
