    uTECH -40 c + 85 c caps- is it ok ?

    hello again , thanks for answering my last quastion.


    i looked for caps : 2700 uf 6.3 v 105 c


    i found 3300 uF 16v that are labeled -40 c + 85 c
    the maker is uTECH


    can i use this caps :?:

    I would not recommend using 85* caps in place of 105* caps. They can overheat and vent easily, especially if the board is in a poorly ventilated case. Substituting 3300uF in place of 2700uF is fine, I've done it MANY times with no probs.

    The 85* caps will work for a while, but if they overheat, say adios to them, they will fail.
