    Sony KDL-37M4000

Have this Sony 37" television. Getting a light blue screen and nothing else. Thinking it could be the main board but wanted to get some advice. Tested T-Con and PSB and both good. Cannot get any buttons to work except for power button. No volume, menu, or input button control.

disconnect one ribbon cable from the t-con and see if you get half a pic, then try the other half.
this is where scoping the lvds would let you know if the t-con is getting a signal or not.
    is the t-con fuse good?

Almost surely bad mainboard, probably bad flash or bad main software.
Check a service manual for the existence of a firmware recovery and reflash method by usb key if present or a method through serial port.

The light blue screen tells us the backlights and the PSU is OK. Since the buttons are not working it is most likely a Main Bd. issue. As suggested before it may be an eeprom/software issue on the Main Bd. What is the Main Bd. Part No.??

Yes I can power the tv on and off. I figured it was probably the eprm on the mb.

No the eeprom no, cause a wrong panel setup ususally end in bad video not black but on top of all, remote and keyboard are not programmable so them must work.
