Re: Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G power on but black screen

It seems you have shifted 4 resistors instead of 3 mentioned at post#17. Only those 3 needs shifting and rest untouched. Double check your work.

why do you say 4 resistors?

below i put a "before and after" picture and you can see i moved only ID0, ID2 and ID3

I said what it looked like from pics. Your later pics confirm that you did it right. Sorry, i've no imore idea.

could it be the video card?
          UMA?

I read on some forum that for UMA conversion you have to move RC134 to RC133

I tried to move it but the problem is still there, the only thing is the absorption from 0.50A drops to 0.42. I guess because the video card is actually disabled

well, maybe i found the problem. As I wrote a few posts back, there are no voltages on VCC_GT and therefore also on the PL906 coil

By measuring the PQ906 chip I discovered that pin 2 has 19v while pin 1 has 0v

The same chip (PQ1202 and PQ1201) is also present in the area of the dedicated video card and measures them 1,12v

Do you think I should change PQ906?

I am missing VCCAXG/VCCGFX/VCCGT (iGPU core voltage), how do I solve it?

The iGPU core voltage is almost never relevant. It typically only comes up when there's a significant load on the iGPU. It can often be seen spiking a couple of times on the oscilloscope when POSTing.

In other words, it's generally normal that it's missing. If you have some kind of issue with the machine, the cause is most likely elsewhere.

                  Thanks for the info.
Could someone tell me what measurements I could do?

                  Thank you

I think vcc gt doesn't turn on at these stages. It only turns on when graphic intensive program is run on the windows.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit : Sorry. Piernov had already mentioned that.
