The flash fails with

Error Image Size (8388608 .B) doesn't match the flash chip's size (16777216 B)!

It's a W25Q128.V

I did back up what was on it and it's 16,384 in size.

I have flashed the W25Q128FVSQ chip on my L570 with this image but when I turn on the laptop it still asks me to enter a password. What else should I do to access the BIOS setup?

Works like a charm with i3-7100u.
No password. No delay.
Just reset laptop few times and it start to work.
Update to newest bios was also possible.

I tried this solution, but didn't work every time:

Here it is:
Read your MAC from the sticker under 1st RAM module:
This usually start from 9829A6, if so, then replace actually given MAC into yours:

1). find in HxD editor a HEX value: 98 29 A6. Beggining is Intel marking and the other 3 rows are your final MAC
2). Search for 39 00 38 00 32 00 39 00 41 00 36 00. Be carefull and replace only letters, as "." are some stragne type of dots "�"
3). Look for 9A 29 A6 FF FE. If rest of MAC is same as in other points (from source BIOS), then change the end of MAC. don't know why instead of 98 there is 9A, but works.
