Hello all, I need a power adaptor for a picture frame/slideshow item the unit powers 9.5v 3A.
    Can I use any adaptor higher/lower ?

for to know this you need to look at the circuit of the item unit .. much easier to get correct adaptor .. might run on 9v ok . i wouldn't go over the rated 9.5v .

What does the picture frame on the back of it for the power requirement to run it
You could also do what petehall-347 has (“ look at the circuit of the item unit .. much easier to get correct adaptor .. might run on 9v ok .” )

9V will be fine, but you need the 3A rating too. Just a plain 9V 1A supply wont do it.
