      Henry,
      And everyone,
If you were working on a dryer, you would mention the make, model, revision number and how many socks the dryer had eaten, then someone can respond.
If you were working on a microwave oven, the same,,,
I have a dead Dell Monitor and I'd gladly offer you the parts but since I don't know what monitor you have I don't.

        arneson,
Microwaves don't tend to eat socks.

Good advice though, I'll keep it in mind.
You know there's something wrong when you open up a PSU and are glad to find Teapos.
Why I don't buy cheap cases!

            Henry,
Dell does not aknowledge an M872 monitor in their support. I didn't spend a lot of time there but my dead dell is an 1801 and has a bad logic board and a deeply scratched screen, that's why I offer up the parts.
            Sorry this isn't any help.
