      I hate tape, especially duct tape - becomes loose fairly quickly or with heat exposure and also leaves a horrible sticky residue. Electrical tape is similar sometimes, but on wires that don't get moved, it's okay. Masking tape (painter's tape) is probably one of my favorites since it sticks to almost anything. It, too, leaves a sticky residue, but after a very long time. And usually easier to clean than the others.

      Now steel wire, copper wire, or just plain ties (like the ones you get at the bakery section in some grocery stores) - those I use more than I like to admit.
