    G Luxon 25v 10uf 105C capacitor

    This is a really tiny capacitor I took out of a motherboard this morning so I could see what it was as I suspect it's faulty and why I'm having issues with booting. With the ESR meter it shows a reading of about 8 and there is another identical cap not too far from it which measures about 2.

    Tried looking on the net to find out what the normal ESR should be for this cap. How do I find out? TIA

    With one at 8 and the other at 2 I'd say it's bad.

    Normal would depend on what series of G-Luxon it is and what size.
    An LZ 25v 10uf 4x7mm is 2.5
    An LZ 25v 10uf 5x11mm is 0.55
    An LV 25v 10uf 5x5.4mm is 1.2
    Any General Purpose series would be more than those.

    But 2 -> 8 on same-same.
    Yep... It's no good.
