Booting from USB ?

Guys,

My mobo doesn't have USB-HDD boot option and it doesn't boot with my USB flash drive, how can I make it boot with USB flash drive ?
I've made bootable flash drive already with rufus and unetbootln with puppy linux inside it...
It has USB-FDD,USB-ZIP and USB-CDROM, I have tried three of 'em and doesn't work ?

Any clues ? thanks

I am not a software expert, but it would seem to me one would have to know what mobo you are using and what Bios it is using.

I got the answer....I used rufus and ticked "add fixes for old BIOS....." option...now it's booting on puppy
