I have a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop and I have lost the BIOS password. At the first attemt "hacking" this BIOS password the password keygen seemed not to work for me.
But than I've found the solution here: http://biospassword.eu/free/
There are two important points: you have to enter the password generated on this website with a QWERTY keyboard and the second important point is that in order to get accepted the password you have to hold CTRL button and press Enter key twice.

I found a tutorial which worked perfectly for my E6410 that locked up mysteriously without anyone even setting the system password. It should work for E6400/E6410/D630 etc...
Basic idea is to downgrade bios until the service tag end changes to something for there is password generator for. In my case, i downgraded from A16 to A03. End of the tag changed from -1F5A to -2A7B.
Only requirement is to be able to boot from cd or usb using Hirenís BootCD. You can also downgrade your bios from Windows if you're able to access it. Run the installer package from cmd with /forceit.
Just read the tutorial. You'll figure it out. Also try pressing Ctrl-Enter after typing in the new generated password instead of pressing OK.
Password generator works for tags ending with -595B, -D35B and -2A7B. If your tag ends with -1D3B, -1F5A, -3A5B or -1F66, try downgrading your bios.

(Use at your own risk!) Hope it helps someone like it for me!
