With an HM10 Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) module, the Bluetooth dongle (without LE support) connected to my computer would not detect the HM10 while my smartphone with LE support can; so therefore, the HM10 only supports LE mode and cannot be configured for non-LE mode since the documentation did not mention such a setting.

Additionally, some Bluetooth devices are only configured for LE connections.

My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.
