dalco is a local pc parts distro.

    same crap different day
    a mix of jee,asiacap,and teapo
    several of each blown open.
this is less than a year old.
dont let the pretty aluminum case fool you.

What is the black stuff on the cap in the middle that does not look blown? Same goo that looks to be on the coil?

Looks like some kind of crap-glue. Maybe the one that's yellow and turns brown somewhere (from heat?) - I've this in some PSUs.

Does anyone know about Asiacap capacitors? I have never heard of this brand before. (Picture if possible?)
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

Epoxy with an electrolyte chaser? Do you take that with an olive or a maraschino cherry?

You mean Asiacon? These are sometimes seen on Acer or Wistron OEM PSUs. They're better than Arcon, but that's like saying that Choyo is better than GSC.

I didn't find Asiacon's website. I'm guessing they are so shitty that they have no website at all.
