Onkyo / Integra HDMI Board Compatibility

I need an HDMI board for an Onkyo txnr646. The Integra dtr30.7 is the sister model and shares the same feature set and the same HDMI board part number.

I downloaded the firmware for both units and a file compare says they're identical.

Has anyone tried swapping between sister units and found them compatible ?

I have never tried yet.
But I think that, if the firmware is the same it should work.
I have a txnr656 and a txrz610, they seem the same as well.

There is at least one difference that wouldn't matter to me - there is a splash screen with the manufacturer logo when turned on. Must be contained in one of the spi flashes near the main processor maybe ? That could be transferred over really if I knew which one it was.

I did not and the board was sold. Still waiting for a donor to appear.

I have issues, with a RZ800. I'm wondering which other receiver's board, would be compatible with it?

I don't have any information on that. Is Integra still making audio equipment ?
