    0B3302CP Ic Datasheet ?

Hello badcappers, if anyone has the data sheet for the 0B3302CP I need it so that I can turn off the feedback protection to stop it turning the backlight off, the protection goes high due to a failed lamp and I dont want to have to replace it. Cheers.

It's extremely rare for chip numbers to start with a digit. Generally the format is letters, usually two or three, then numbers, followed by a suffix (sometimes hyphenated)
So check the part number is correct...

      Is it OB3302CP, not 0(zero)B3302CP?

Whoops, should have used a MS ! Thanks anyway chaps I found the protection pin and removed a small ceramic cap to turn it off, I made a small diagram which is what helped me. Going to do a youtube video as the tv this is for is very problematic.

Hi which pin is the protection? Feedback pin?

Yes be very careful as fire is possible if left alone like this. Depends on the set... Some can be okay. But not worth the risk.

                        So you disconnect pin 2?
I disconnected pin 7 and the backlights still went out

I removed the smd cap going to pin 2. I still only get pic for a couple of seconds.
                          Could the OM3302 be faulty?

I hope you don't sell them... the only ones like this I've done I've given to friends and told them to let me know if anything goes bad. One blew a transformer after a few months, the other is still good.

You would want to short the cap as the test, this is the timeout capacitor, so shorting it makes it seem as if it has infinite capacitance.

With it shorted the backlights will not come on at all.
