Proper connections for Acer AL1914 LCD?

The real title of this thread should be, "Take a picture before you touch anything...you idiot!"

I do not remember if the four connectors on the left side (monitor facing down on a table) of the power board had the pink-wire-connector at the top of each group of two connectors or the blue-wire-connector at the top.

Anyway, I opened up my AL1914 to look at the power board to see if it was the same as my AL1917. It is not, but now that I am putting it back together, I forgot the order of those wires.

This person's pictures on an AL1914 board (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ghlight=al1914) are labeled the way that I think that I remember them:

    Pink
    Blue

    Pink
    Blue

Looking at my pictures from my AL1917, the connectors are:

    Blue
    Pink

    Blue
    Pink

Can anyone help me with the proper connections?

    Thank you!

    Gregg

Does it look like this? the top two connectors from the lamp assembly can go into any one of the two sockets on the top section of the board, you have four separated lamps, 2 lamps per assembly with 2 wires per lamp, so it does not really matter which go to which otherwise I would not be able to test the inverter section.
Here are more pictures of ACER and other brands.

      budm,

Some of your pictures show what I remember, with pink on the top of each pair. One of your pcitures shows both ways!

So, I am going to go with what my old brain thinks it remembers...pink on top.

      Thank you!

Pink on top and blue on the bottom or another way does not matter, each lamp is separated from each other just like you can put any lamps in any sockets. They are just 2-wire device.

Right, with the fat wire being the input, and the thinner wire being the return. Which then goes to the feedback circuit. I once had a monitor that was 2 seconds to black. So I switched the plugins and it stayed lit. I'm sure there must be a CCFL that was going bad. But the person didn't want to pay for a relamp. Still going strong from what I last heard.

Greg, you want to keep a black felt pen handy. Then write like a P, W, BU, BK. I did the same thing once and I always mark them now. Also, anything unusual like a small screw with 8 others all the same. Mark that one S. Or whatever. I found marks in certain places beats my fading memory every time. ~@ L-J-7 @~

I took LOTS of pictures of the AL1917 before touching a thing. On the AL1914, I foolishly thought that I could remember two wire colors!

I hate getting old...but I cannot remember why.
