just confirm before you order one as i see their aer a few listed for this tv model, so maybe send them a message first and see if they have the correct one for your set as it needs to match the lcd panel used in your tv.

      Thanks for that as well.
The P/N on my TV is X405BV-FHD3HA10001 and I don't see one for that exact P/N as they suggest should match on some of the eeproms for similar models. I sent them a message to see if they could help me out with the right one. Meanwhile I will pull the back off and see if there are any clues on the board that might help.

You need to look at the main board sticker, for example of what shopjimmy say about one of the EEPROM "This eeprom works in the main board that has 1B1K2826 & LTA400HM09 found on the sticker & works in Sceptre X405BV-FHD. The eeprom you receive may be different from your original but it is a compatible replacement. All sales are FINAL and NO RETURNS will be accepted."
So look for sticker label on the main board.

Yes and thanks. Shopjimmy informed me of same and I just finished doing that and found the one that matches the numbers on the sticker on the back of the board. It's this one if anyone cares. https://******/2xuCdQf.

                Re: Sceptre X405BV-FHD3HF02205 no power

So I got the eeprom today.
I am a tech type person but soldering is not something I have done a lot of but I have basic skills and can do it.
Removing the old one from the board and cleaning up remnants of it went well but getting the new one soldered on was tough for me.

First of all the part is small and I could barely see it with my glasses on and a magnifying glass did not help much either.

After I soldered it back on as best I could I took a pic of it with my phone and zoomed in. It looked horrible but I plugged it in and it appeared to work. What I mean is the TV would turn on and off just fine but I had no menus or picture.
Thinking I must have accidentally cross soldered some of the little legs or whatever you call them from the eeprom together I went back and cleaned them up a bit.
I then had menus and a picture and I have turned it off and on with varying times in between for a few hours now and it works fine. Before I replaced eeprom if you turned it off it would not come back on unless you unplugged/plugged back in several times and held in power button nonsense.

If it starts acting up again I will let you know but right now it seems fine.
