I'm working on the power supply out of my 40" Vizio and I have a question regarding the voltage outputs. At this point with the board removed from the TV and on my bench I have my 5v standby (actually this board has 3). As I understand I need the "power on" feed from the logic board to turn on all the other power outputs on the power supply. Is it possible to jump the 5v bypass pin to the "power on" pin to turn on the power supplies other voltage outputs for testing? Thanks!

Re: TV power supply testing question
It will a lot to see what we are dealing with.
You should use 470 ~ 1K for jumping the PS-ON pin and the 5VSTBY pin in case you jump the wire to the wrong pin.Never stop learning

Re: TV power supply testing question
I have a similar question. I also have 5v standby present, but I'm lacking the 12v. So I was wondering if I needed to jump the "power on" and the "Invert on" at the same time. Maybe I should start a new thread on this. I couldn't find anyone with a Vizio 420e that was missing the 12v.
