![]() Last week we had bad weather and I have had 4 LG TVs come into shop. I replaced two main boards. It seems LG main cpu are very sensitive. I cant find schematics for many of the boards to find out the actual part number off the chips without removing the heatsink. Does any one know a source for the main IC chips used on LG TVs ? Is there a list some where that tells you what TV used what main IC ? Has anone sucessfully removed and install new ICs?
It seems a waste because the main CPU fails and the rest of the board seems good. The main ICs temp when failed all are in excess temp of 155 F. IC1 has failed on EBT61712701 main board. Thanks |

![]() Looking at the under side of the board they all have alot of SMD that would be affected by heat in the removal side if the bottom heater got too hot and the all the LG main cpu chips have all the pins under the IC making it guess work if all is properly aligned. I guess it either send it out to ModusLink or buy a board. Have any of you all have any luck with it?
