    ASUS UX32VD No Video

I have another UX32VD that I am working on. This board powers on but I get no video with the LCD or HDMI. Any ideas where to start looking? I know it could be the CPU or GPU but how would I confirm that with them being soldered on.

I tested both bios files and still no post. I tested more and I find that the board has 2 shorts to GND
            P_VCORE_VIN_S - TEST OK
            P_VCORE_LX_30 - SHORT (MAYBE PQ8002 PQ8003)

            P_GFX_VIN_S - TEST OK
            P_GFX_LX_30 - SHORT (MAYBE PQ8005 PQ8006)

            Both also connect to PU8000
            PU8000 should be checked first.

Low resistance on vcore lines is normal though nothing can be ruled out. You can remove the fets and check them out of circuit.

Before anything, do you have CPU VCore? And VCCGFX?
Also for VCCGFX to come up you need a known good display and display cable plugged in. If the internal panel isn't detected properly, VCCGFX may not come up. But the BIOS should still POST in this case so the OS will boot (and when you press caps lock the LED will come on/off).

Thank You for this. This led me to find a short in the display cable. I will need to replace that first and test as I get no post video through the HDMI.
