      lol. so you had a fan fail due to bad caps?
      Most failed fans I ever get are just seized bearing with the occasional 50-60 mm video card with burned windings (cough *ARX fans* cough).

        Some of those Dell ultra-SFF machines (with external power brick, some 120 or 150 W!). There was crazy powerfull fan, very difficult to get spare, and expensive OFC. All it needed in the end was to replace the 60ohm 10uF cap and maybe it is still running today

          Ok, I stand corrected - I guess those small caps in the fans can matter sometimes.
