My friends TV, He said it lost the picture, went to black screen. he powered it off and back on and it was working again. he left it on and ran some errands for about 2 hours. when he returned home the screen was black again. I'm not sure about the sound because he unhooked the HDMI and video inputs before I had a chance to look at it, and he may have changed the input. with no picture it's hard to tell what mode it is in. I gave him a loaner tv and don't have his at my house yet..will pick it up later..the power light does come on and stays on. I am thinking it's the famous LED Failure..would the power light stay on if this is the case? Thanks in advance to all who reply back.

I will post some pictures once I get back to it and open it up...I need to do the flashlight test but have to get it in the correct input mode first..maybe I will hook up a dvd player and have it powered on and playing, then try to switch input one at a time and turn volume up each time.Then try the flashlight....Thanks Bud..

If you are not sure what input setting the TV is set at, try pulling up the MENU and do the flashlight test.
