    What device is it ?

    Everyone,

    I'm wondering,
    What device is it ?
    Please have a look on the photo.
    On my meter it's 0.31 ohm...

    Is it a balun or miliohm resistor ?

    Thanks

    Just a very small inductor made by putting the wire through two FERRITE beads.

      ferrite bead core, ok, thanks, similar like on power supply charger bead...

        @budm
        anyway I've made MC34063 running on 3Kohm RL and 220V but it's not stable..
        could it be the inductor too small ? my test is using 333 coilcraft smd inductor 33uH...
        it's releasing heat too much with in a minute and voltage drop rapidly...
        f = 40.4 KHz, I checked with scope..
        8W 220V neon bulb is very bright now...in calculation it's more than 16W with that experiment circuit..
        FET = 62N25 savage from samsung power supply unit,
        Following the formula from ST datasheet, the lower the value of inductor, the higher Iout, but I need a bigger rating of inductor ( big wire ) correct me?
