    Obscure Netac OMD128

If I recall correctly, I acquired this at a surplus place in my area. I'm trying to figure out what sort of battery it takes. There's a Chinese site that mentions something about 1.2V, but doesn't really explain the battery. I can see it as a USB stick in that it has storage, but the portion, which plays music must be completely, separate internally as it doesn't speak to the computer as a device.

    Anyone remember these?

i remember a version of those with an lcd.
it should use an AA cell.
try holding down different buttons as you plug it in - btw i think you play mp3's from the memory your seeing and the firmware is on a hidden partition.

The thing is, the battery compartment is larger than a single cell as if it took a proprietary battery. And why the dual contacts at the bottom? I'll put a cell in a picture for comparison sake, when I get home.

i remember them too... mine had a single AA in it. But his is different. Can't see the voltage being more than 1.5v...
