    Sony KD-55X7000G black vertical bar

I have a Sony TV 55X7000G with a black vertical bar on one end of the panel. Am wondering if this can be bad components on one of the board which is connected to the panel?

Looks like a defective panel, one of the COF's is bad.

This panel apparently had some water ingress of unknown quantity and location. The t-con board was bad. So not any chance that any of the component on the PCB is bad?

Did you ever resolve this issue? I have a panel with a blue line surrounding by a black vertical band like this except its over to the right a few inches.

The flex cables that run from the panel boards to the panel control the vertical sections on the screen. If the cable or chip on flex (COF) embedded in the cable has failed, you will see an issue in that section. If you ripped the flex cable completely off, the band will be dark. Sometimes caused by liquid damage since the panel boards are usually located at the bottom of the panel.
