And just what's wrong with a bit of bling?

Personally, there are too many cases that take the 'modder look' way too far (that devil faced case for example), can't beat the straight clean lines of a CoolerMaster case IMHO

For the record only 1 of my 6 cases are lightly modded (LED lighting & color coding) with modding to allow a 120mm intake on the front bezel, the rest are pure unadulterated beige!

What about a black Antec P180?? I know they're a bit expensive, but i've got one, and the finish is gorgeous.. I know having the PSU at the bottom of the case induces some quirks, but my Fortron Blue Storm 400W's wires were more than long enough. Right now i have 6 hdd's, two opticals in it..

Wasn't my idea, I actually bought my first parts from a place called Overclocker's Hideout, but had bad luck with their waterblock. Stabbed a screwdriver through my favorite Shuttle Super Socket 7 motherboard trying to mount it. So I made a waterblock at school that would fit with a normal heatsink clip I had. The radiator was also added by me.

After all this happened, the water cooling business exploded with companies like Swiftech making complete kits. Ones that looked much nicer and worked better

Well Chris...It could be a lot worse, like this NZXT Guardian...

There's a pretty decent chassis under all that bling, though.

You know there's something wrong when you open up a PSU and are glad to find Teapos.

Yeah, if I got that case, I'd rip the door off. Nice chassis design though, I've seen that case irl.

Everything is vertical these days. Will there ever be a horizontal ATX case?

There have been bed-type (horizontal) micro-ATX cases for a while, but they're not particularly popular or easy to work on (you generally have to place the monitor on top, which makes it hard to access the innards).

                        I see no problem.
I actually padlock my case anyways.

They are typically not designed to have a monitor sitting on top of them, however. They usually have rather thin top panels.

I prefer roomy towers, but I wish they would go back to using thick, heavy steel like the computers of about 15-20 years ago. I'm tired of these tin-foil POS cases with the contoured front bezels.

well i have a horizontal ATX case.
Takes about 20 minutes to get apart though. 10 seconds to take of the top panel. 10 minutes to get the disc drive out and 9:50 minutes to get the HDD out. and if i need to get the frount bezel off. i need the HDD out so a further 15 seconds.
And THAT is when i am concentrating...
