did some more digging and found this one that is labeled SSC9510 but it does contain info on SSC9512S, and has a lot more info in it. i think i can trust this datasheet to tell me the correct pinout. i will get back with the status of VCC pin

I believe the pinout is the same and the sop-18 has no connections to 17 & 18, have a look to see if there is anything connected to those two pins
Having VCC may or may not turn on the main ic7203, The vcc also is applied to the pfc ic7201, boosting the B+ voltage, then IC7203's vsense pin, detects the boosted voltage and then it turns on making the main voltage.
Or they might both turn on at the same time.

sadly i havent had enough time to look at this board lately. hopefully things will settle down soon. not giving up.

Re: SHARP LC-80LE633U has open resistor r7133 on PSU

so i finally got some time to look at this again. in the meantime i built this tool to help with connecting 5vsb to PSON and 5vsb to PNL_POW (and other configs for other tvs). its just a psu to mb cable from some other tv i had laying around put into a breadboard to make it easy to connect whatever pins you want thru a 1k resistor. i stripped and tinned the ends, then put them in the breadboard, then hot glued the whole thing to keep it from slipping out. then you can easily connect 1k resistors between any pins.

funny thing. once i connected this up, (psu alone on bench) now i have the psu performing normally. got the ur13v and 12v just fine. got 120v on each of the pins on the anode side of the LED connectors.
so i put it back in the tv but tv still wont turn on.
plugging in power, i get standby light
pushing power button, it tries to start up but i see no backlight flash
and after 5-10 seconds i get the 5 fast 2 long flash code.
holding input and volume down while plugging in doesnt change anything.
disconnecting the power connector to the TCON gets me a 1 short 1 long error code.
i tried all configs of tcon cables connected or not, with no change.
not sure whats going on but i would like to see those backlights turn on again if possible.
how can i make the psu power on the backlights without the MB?

Jumper ps-on and bu 5v, use 1k resistors might need to also jumper 1 or more of the panel pins to bu 5v, see if it turns on with backlights, MAKE SURE cable from powerboard to mainboard is UNHOOKED for this test. You probably already know it has to be unhooked, the warning is for anyone who might not know.

Re: SHARP LC-80LE633U has open resistor r7133 on PSU

you might look thru some of the other 80 in threads.
A quick look at this one... https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...light=sharp+80 at post 66 may give some help.

One other thing about your last post... you are saying with your "jury rig wiring" you can't get the unit to turn on or was that the "pre check on the bench" that wiring to "confirm" in some form that the PSU is operational. Then, once you put it back in the set, standby works but no turn on thereafter. Right? During when it attempts to turn on (prior to the flash code), did you recheck any of those voltages that you listed when it was on the bench.... especially ones at the tcon (ie. 12v). what is happening with ps-on?

One other check, without power one, do a resistance / short check on some the many SMD caps / resistors on the bottom edge board especially near / around the incoming tcon / panel cable. I still get the feeling that you may have an issue there which is causing the system to not recognize the panel in any cabling configuration. Some sets will not start via the "tcon / panel disconnect" method because of this.... not sure if this is one but I seem to recall some posts about this.

When you did the test on the bench were you getting panel power out, PNL12V ? You would need a 1k between STB and PNL_POW
Or check if you are getting the PNL12V when the board is connected.

Does anyone know the specs for D7112? I need to replace mine and I can't figure it out. Thanks!

Just wanted to bump this thread. Outstanding work done here. I have the same TV with the exact same symptoms. Started with a 2-3 flash code and intermittent successful operation that eventually ended with a completely dead set. This thread helped me make the repair. Thank you to all involved!

What is the status of your power supply board at this point?
I need to see the pictures of your board and what parts are replaced so far?
If you power up the power supply board by itself without having any other boards connected to it, is the standby Voltage normal?

The board I have is identical to the one in this thread. I have currently replaced the same IC as the OP replaced as well as the 2.2 ohm R7133 the OP replaced as well. The ShopJimmy pics from earlier in this thread are identical.

I currently have the board out on the bench with nothing connected to it.

Is your board exact same model as OP?
What is the model of the board as printed on the board?
I need to know the exact so I can trace the circuit of the correct board.

Watched that. I am familiar with the hot and cold ground parts of the PB. When checking the 5v bus, I get 1.5v at the BU5V pin using a chassis ground. When I have probed around on the Primary side, I am using a hot ground.

That 1.5v is with the board sitting on my bench. Not in the TV.
