    Elektor Magazine li-ion-charger-with-mic79050-150580

I going to order this kit and ordered the other parts very soon

    https://www.elektormagazine.com/labs...79050-150580-i

I like the way it charges li-ion batteries if it is below the normal cut off voltage

What do you all think about this charger

I do have a question about how to find the capacitors in the part list can anyone help with this

it says 500mA charging current... not sure where you go the 200mA from...

it's still low and an inflexable overpriced design.

Like I said it does all I need it to do, reviving dead bad cells is a waste of time.

This is the most important part of what I am looking for

                “Features:
Battery formatting: when the battery voltage is lower than 2.7V, it will be charged with a maximum current of 20mA until 2.71V is reached. Then normal charging will start.”

Ones it gets to a voltage of 3.5 volts move it to a different charger
From time to time I do have batteries that have been been that low sometimes times you can revive them yes I know that you will not have the same running time from a battery that run down below a certain voltage

                  why 20ma - just curious.

i made a setup with these numbers:
                  input 5v
                  resistor: 75ohms
                  .1v - 65.3ma
                  .5v - 60ma
                  1v - 53.3ma
                  2v - 40ma
                  3v - 26.6ma
                  3.7v - 17.3ma
                  4.2v - 10.6ma

                  ---------------

btw, some 1$ powerbank cases will do what your after, if the battery is under-freshhold they charge at about 80ma until about 3v

Because if cell is not good and you are charging it the battery becomes very warm and the voltage does not go very much be on the voltage it start with @ 50 milliamperes

I will have to try some of the cheap batteries packs and see if this is th case

In most all cases where I revived a cell it would rarely hold more than 200Mah, it's what the chinese do when they sell you resleved dead cells, it's a waste of time.
