I desoldered IO chip and soldered the chip back after cleaning the pads. After that I was able to see the AC power light near the DC jack and also The laptop powered on but no display.
I planed to flash old bios back but I took a rest that day. Today When I replug without doing anything I was unable to see the changing light. Not only that. I see the IO chip is heating up. Whats wrong? Bad IO chip I guess. I can't find same IO chip within My county. Can I use something similar???
Model No: KB3926QF D2
If I ordered the same chip. Do I need to program It??? Help please
harshen, does this G62 have an Intel or AMD GPU?
AMD versions of these computers have been known to fail due to the defective GPU, much like the 2011 Macs.
If it has the AMD GPU next to the processor, try reflowing it at a lower temp, being careful not to melt the CPU socket.

The HP G62 has a known fault where it won't turn on because of the AMD graphics chip. Did you notice if the CAPS-LOCK LED is flashing when you turn it on?

The thing is this laptop doesnt have dedicated graphics. There is no AMD card.
