Acer Aspire E5-473 Not Turn On

    Acer Aspire E5-473 Not Turn On



    5v sometimes present and sometimes not....when 5v present this laptop can turn on normally....any ideas what could be the problem?

    Check pin12 for 5V_EN is present or not when you are not getting 5V on PL404.

      on 5V_EN only got 3.3v sir

        i just let the laptop turn on normally and after around 30minutes it goes to shutdown itself....and now 5v missing and pin 12 get only 3.3v

          Pin12 just only need Enable signal. So its okay to have 3.3v on it. what it the resistance of PL404 to ground? (you should test this without power)

            red probe on ground read 18K Ohm
            black probe on ground read 80K Ohm

            is this correct?

              Seems okay. from where you test 5v rail??

              test voltages of all the pins on pu402 and post them.

                Since 5V_EN is always present and the resistance on output coil is healthy-There can be two scenario's
                01.The PWM ic is bad,corroded,missing track, resistor changed value
                02.Feedback is not correct.

                  ya you are right, PWM ic is bad....im waiting for replacement...order from china
